Current Production

We prepare for the next production as soon as the preceding performances end.

We generally hold auditions a week after the wrap of the previous show. The Board of Directors chooses directors for the upcoming year and it is up to the director to schedule auditions. Auditions are always open to the public and we welcome new talent. Please come and audition, we promise we will give you something to do in the show, even if you don’t get cast onstage.

There are myriad of jobs that are available on any production. When you arrive to audition let the director know in what you are interested and the director will be happy to assign you to a crew.

Available Crews

Costumes
Seamstresses who are willing to give their time. We also need people willing to shop for period appropriate pieces.
Makeup
We need people to apply makeup on the performers as well as teach others how to put on stage makeup.
Props
We always need props for shows. We need people willing to shop for appropriate props and people able to make props.
Lights/Sound
People willing to run the lighting or sound on a show. We have a full set of lights as well as microphones that need to be maintained.
Backstage
we can never have enough people backstage during a show. We need people able to move set pieces, check makeup, fix costumes, run errands, really anything that needs doing during a production.

We are able to teach you any of these jobs if you are unfamiliar and we welcome the opportunity to instruct you on the doings of a theatre. We just want you to come down and offer a hand.

Of course we need actors and actresses for our shows. No director pre-casts a show or makes any promises. A director enters auditions with an open mind and welcomes new talent eagerly.

A director will determine what days and times are best for rehearsal, but generally we rehearse three times a week. The crews will not be required to be present for all rehearsals however; the performers are expected to commit to all rehearsals.

A week before opening we enter Production Week which is mandatory attendance for all involved in a show. Production Week consists of makeup/costume rehearsals as well as lights/sound rehearsals.
